Terms of Service
Effective 1 August 2026
These terms set out the rights, obligations and responsibilities of the operator and of users of Tagloft. Using the service means you accept them.
1. Definitions
- Service — the asset management web service the operator provides at tagloft.ourhertz.com and related addresses.
- User — a person who uses the service under these terms.
- Organization — a unit of asset management a user creates inside the service. Data belonging to one organization is not visible from another.
- Organization data — everything a user enters or uploads into an organization: asset records, staff, customer and vendor directories, photographs, documents and history.
2. Effect and amendment of these terms
These terms take effect when they are posted in the service.
The operator may amend them within the limits of applicable law. Any amendment is posted in the service at least seven days before it takes effect, and at least thirty days before if it is to users’ disadvantage. A user who does not accept an amendment may terminate the agreement.
3. Formation of the agreement
The agreement is formed when a user accepts these terms, applies to register, and the operator accepts that application.
The operator may refuse or defer acceptance where:
- another person’s name or email address has been used
- the registration details are untrue
- there is insufficient capacity or a technical obstacle
- the application is made for a purpose that breaks the law or harms public order
4. Account management
You are responsible for your account and password. You may not transfer or lend your account to anyone else.
If you learn that your account has been compromised or is being used by a third party without authorisation, tell the operator immediately and follow the instructions given. The operator is not liable for loss arising from a failure to do so.
5. What the service provides
The operator provides the following. The detail may change as the service is improved.
- Registering, viewing, searching and bulk-editing assets
- Check-out and check-in, lease and return, maintenance, disposal and the history of those events
- Reference data: staff, customers, vendors, sites, locations and categories
- Attaching photographs and documents to assets
- Looking up an asset by scanning its barcode with a camera
- CSV import and export
- Email notification of upcoming returns, overdue assets and expiring leases
- Inviting members, managing their roles, and running audits
6. Fees
The service is currently provided free of charge.
If the operator introduces paid plans, it will give at least thirty days’ notice, and will not charge retroactively for data already stored. A user who does not wish to move to a paid plan may export their data and terminate within that period.
7. User obligations
You must not:
- enter or store another person’s personal information without proper authority
- attempt to reach data belonging to an organization you are not a member of
- probe the service for vulnerabilities, or disrupt it with excessive automated requests
- upload files that infringe copyright, image rights or any other right of a third party
- store material whose possession or distribution is prohibited by law
- reverse engineer the service or use it to build a competing or substantially similar one
8. Ownership of organization data
All rights in organization data belong to the user. The operator claims no rights in it.
The operator processes organization data only as far as delivering the service, backing it up and responding to faults requires. It is not used for any other purpose — including advertising, selling aggregated statistics, or training artificial intelligence models — and is not disclosed to third parties.
Access to organization data by the operator is limited to responding to a fault at the user’s request.
9. Taking your data out
You may export every asset and every history record to CSV at any time.
If the operator discontinues the service, it will give at least ninety days’ notice and keep the export function available throughout that period.
10. Availability and interruption
The service aims to be available twenty-four hours a day, every day, but no service level is guaranteed.
It may be interrupted for maintenance or replacement of equipment, loss of connectivity, or a fault at one of the providers listed in the privacy policy. Planned maintenance is announced in advance; an unforeseen interruption is announced afterwards.
The service is a tool for managing assets. It does not warrant accuracy sufficient to serve as the authoritative record for accounting, tax or legal purposes, so keep a separate copy of anything important using the export described in article 9.
11. Limitation of liability
The operator is not liable for loss caused by an inability to provide the service for reasons beyond its control, such as a natural disaster or a fault at one of its providers.
The operator is not liable for the accuracy of data a user enters, nor for loss arising from a user’s failure to look after their own account.
While the service is provided free of charge, the operator is not liable for loss absent wilful misconduct or gross negligence. Where the service is paid for, liability is limited to the fees that user paid over the preceding three months.
12. Termination
You may terminate at any time by deleting your account. Organization data is destroyed thirty days after the deletion request, as set out in the privacy policy.
If a user breaches article 7, the operator will ask them to put it right and may restrict use or terminate the agreement if they do not do so within a reasonable period. Plain unlawful conduct that would cause irreparable harm to another user or to a third party unless stopped at once is an exception to that notice requirement.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and the use of the service are governed by the law of the Republic of Korea.
Any dispute between the operator and a user arising from use of the service is to be brought before the court having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act of the Republic of Korea.
Addendum
These terms take effect on 1 August 2026.
